A successful adjustment doesn't have to make the 'crack' or 'pop' sound but when it does somehow everyone is happier.
The adjustment is 90% positioning of the client on the table and 10% push. The adjustive 'push' must be delivered quickly to avoid muscle guarding. It takes years of practice to become proficient and effective. I use the Palmer diversified method. I do not use an 'activator' or any similar mechanical instrument.
